CommSec v3.05.1 Inter-Facility Communications // HIPPER STATION CORRESPONDANCE

\\ CONNECTION ESTABLISHED //

Verified Operator: Sergeant Arkahn

Archive note: [7:9:2558 22:41] MESSAGE RECEIVED FROM: Lieutenant Aletrix

As I mentioned in our previous correspondance, sat-comm has picked up a number of small readouts on the array. It could be nothing, meteor showers aren't uncommon in this sector as you're well aware. Regardless, remain vigilant; ground teams have been unable to confirm visual sighting of the targets due to the recent storms on the surface.

Archive note: [7:9:2558 22:43] MESSAGE SENT BY: Sergeant Arkahn

Understood. Was sat-comm able to determine an approximate temperature, or size, of the targets?

Archive note: [7:9:2558 22:48] MESSAGE RECEIVED FROM: Lieutenant Aletrix

Negative. Atmospheric radiation caused by the recent solar flare is disrupting accurate scanning. Electronics inside Hipper Station and Aurek are shielded, but anything beyond that is distorted on the imagery. A ground sweep is scheduled to sweep over the projected impact sites when the weather stabilises.

Archive note: [7:9:2558 22:50] MESSAGE SENT BY: Sergeant Arkahn

Is there an ETA on the conclusion of adverse weather events? It seems pretty calm where we are. Should we send out a drone?

Archive note: [7:9:2558 22:53] MESSAGE RECEIVED FROM: Lieutenant Aletrix

Negative. Again, the upcoming flares will fry its electronics before you reach any of the sites. Frankly, I'd advise lowering the communication array ASAP to avoid any unnecessary maintenance works. SAT-COMM has a faint visual on Aurek site, and will be vigilant for signs of trouble.

Archive note: [7:9:2558 22:54] MESSAGE RECEIVED FROM: Lieutenant Aletrix

As for the weather, no estimation available at this time. Batten down the hatches and wait out the storm. It may seem calm, but current intel suggests this is just the calm. We'll attempt contact again when conditions return to normal. Glory to the Primarch.

Archive note: [7:9:2558 22:58] MESSAGE SENT BY: Sergeant Arkahn

Understood - Will make preperations to secure and deactivate comms equipment for the duration of the storm. Glory to the Primarch.
